Repair and restoration of your jewelry

Has your jewelry lost its sparkle, is it damaged, misshapen, or broken? I offer a repair and restoration service carried out directly in my workshop, with care, precision, and expertise, to give it a second life.

As each piece of jewelry is unique, repairs are carried out with a personalized quote, depending on its condition, the metal used, its design, and the work required.

Repair Request

To receive an initial assessment, simply fill out the repair request form below, providing information about your jewelry and the damage to be repaired.

You will also be asked to provide photos in the form to allow me to perform an initial analysis and guide you as best as possible.

A study fee of €20 will be charged upon shipment. This fee covers the time spent on examination, diagnosis, and feasibility study of the repair.

This €20 will be fully deducted from the final repair cost if the quote is accepted.

These study fees are separate from shipping costs, which remain the responsibility of the customer for sending the jewelry to the workshop and for its return after the intervention.

Jewelry examination and repair feasibility

Upon receipt of your jewelry in my workshop, a full examination will be carried out in order to:

  • confirm the nature of the metal (gold, silver, or other alloy);
  • check the general condition of the piece;
  • determine possible repair techniques;
  • establish a precise quote adapted to the necessary work;
  • adjust the quote if an additional intervention not initially foreseen proves necessary.

Checking the metal is an essential step, especially when an intervention requiring heating the metal is envisaged (such as soldering).

If the jewelry is made of a precious metal or a suitable alloy, appropriate repair techniques can be implemented.

In some cases, the jewelry may be composed of a metal not suitable for traditional jewelry techniques (some costume metals, low-grade alloys, or pieces with special treatments). Intervention by heating or soldering may then be impossible, as it could damage or destroy the piece.

Depending on the condition and design of the jewelry, another solution may be considered.

Jewelry that may be refused for repair

However, some jewelry may be refused if its condition, fragility, or design do not allow for a reliable and durable repair. This may include:

  • very thin or overly weakened chains, whose links are likely to break again;
  • heavily worn, deformed, or excessively weakened jewelry;
  • pieces whose metal, alloy, or surface treatment do not allow for appropriate intervention;
  • jewelry requiring restoration beyond the technical capabilities of the workshop.

In such cases, an explanation will be provided after examining the piece. No intervention will be performed.

Please complete the repair form now so I can get the necessary information.

This will allow me to review your request and offer you the most suitable solution for restoring your jewelry.

Delivery - Returns

Shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer, both for sending the piece of jewelry to the workshop and for its return, whether the repair is carried out or not.

The time spent studying the piece of jewelry, diagnosing it, and evaluating repair possibilities represents genuine expert work. This is why a €20 study fee, plus a €7.90 return shipping fee for tracked delivery with signature, is applied when the piece of jewelry is sent to the workshop.

These fees cover the analysis of the item, the verification of its technical feasibility, and the preparation of the repair quote.

If the quote is accepted, the €20 study fee will be fully deducted from the final repair amount.

If the repair is not carried out (customer refusal of the quote or technical impossibility found after study), the study fees are retained and cannot be refunded. They correspond to the time spent analyzing the piece of jewelry, diagnosing it, and evaluating the feasibility of the repair.
